The death of Helen Bessie Hiltz of South Berwick, Kings Co. occurred on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.  Born in Cambridge on December 4, 1919,she was the seventh child of the late Owen & Edna (Arenburg) Peterson. In June 1944 she married William Hiltz, her surviving husband of Coldbrook where they lived & raised their four children: sons, Harold (Marion), New Minas; Gregory (Gloria), New Minas; daughters, Wilma (Willis) Moore, Kentville; Debra Hiltz, Aldershot; grandchildren: Crystal & James; great grandchildren: Tiffany, Keegan, Jacob & Quinn; sisters, Hazel Johnson, Halifax; Joyce Mosher, Halls Harbor; brother, Floyd (Gwen) Peterson, Kentville. Helen was predeceased by brothers: Lawrence, Orin, Kenneth, Murray, Donald & Maxwell; sisters, Elsie & Gladys; grandsons, Barry Moore & one in infancy. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook. Private family visitation only. Private family funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 28, 2009 from the Cambridge United Baptist Church, Cambridge. Rev. Barbara Cochran officiating.
